Paper making felt refers to fabric felt used for paper forming and conveying in the paper making industry.

Paper making felt are required to have good water dewatering, smoothness, stain resistance, wear resistance, dimensional stability, drug resistance, antimicrobial resistance, heat resistance and hydrolysis resistance.

According to the place on the paper machine can be divided into wet felt, upper felt and dry felt. The wet felt is run with water on a paper machine to press the blank to dehydrate and smooth the surface of the paper. Wet felt has good water filtration and elasticity, high strength, small shrinkage rate, wear resistance, resistance to bacteria and acid and alkali corrosion. The use part of the upper felt is above the wet felt, with a small part of contact with the drying cylinder, collar paper, top and dry, with smooth, stiff, elastic, wear resistance, high temperature resistance performance. The dry felt covers the drying cylinder and operates under hot and humid conditions. It plays the role of ironing and drying paper and has the properties of solid, good elasticity, wear resistance and high temperature resistance. Dry felt can also be replaced by canvas or breathable fabrics made of polyester filament.
